It was awful the day JFK was assassinated. I was in college about 150 miles south of Dallas that day, & what else, playing bridge, when I heard. Then I with my husband on a business trip to LA only a few miles from the site of Bobby’s murder. In both cases, I was beyond consolation & almost gave up hope, but Teddy was always there, supporting the family, taking all those kids & widows into his loving arms. In spite of all the obstacles, many of his creation, he’s continued to champion human rights for the less fortunate. Today, those feelings of loss are flooding back with the news of his brain tumor . I hope he lives to see Obama elected. Sad day….
